We encountered some noisy nights due to trams and street traffic right outside our window. The elevator felt outdated and was painfully slow, especially when hauling suitcases. With limited dining options nearby, we often found ourselves hunting for meals further away. The room service was inconsistent, with minimal cleaning during our stay, leaving us to manage our own cleanliness. Pillows were lumpy, detracting from an otherwise relaxing environment.

Check the schedule for tram services in advance. the last run can be quite early, limiting your evening plans.

The check-in process started on a shaky note due to a rude receptionist who struggled to find our reservation, creating unnecessary stress. The room, thankfully, was clean and came with a lovely shower. The tram station right outside was super convenient for getting into the city. Breakfast impressed me with its quality, especially the crispy rolls and hearty portions. I found the lack of milk for the coffee a downside. When we asked for additional coffee supplies early on, service was frustratingly unhelpful. Although the location allowed for decent access to transportation, it wasn't very close to the city center and felt isolated late at night, particularly when rain hit. The beds could have used improvements in comfort as well, with lumpy pillows detracting from comfort. the hotel has potential but needs to work on service and amenities to elevate the experience.

The elevator feels like it’s from the dark ages, moving at a snail's pace and making trips to the room prolonged. If you’re on the street front, be prepared for tram noise that might keep you awake at night. On top of that, thin walls make for uncomfortable sleep as conversations from other rooms carry right through. Dining options are sparse in the area which could leave you scrambling for meals later in the evening.

I loved that the tram station was just a few steps from the hotel, making trips into the city center a breeze, and I thoroughly enjoyed taking leisurely walks to nearby Schloss Park, which is just under 2 km away, beautiful for some outdoor time.

Hotel Pankow had a lovely atmosphere with clean and cozy rooms. The breakfast included delicious crispy rolls and variety in options. The tram stop was conveniently located right outside, making it easy to explore Berlin's attractions.

The hotel facilities were impeccably clean, and my recently renovated room had all the essentials for a short stay. While the location in Pankow is a bit distant from the city center, a nearby tram stop makes it very accessible. Just be mindful of potential noise if your room faces the street.

Would recommend for a weekend break

Cozy rooms, friendly staff, the excellent breakfast made my stay enjoyable, and the convenient location allowed for easy access to local attractions as it is only a 10-minute walk from S Pankow-Heinersdorf.
